MENLO PARK, CA — (September 2, 2020) – Learn to Win, a leading provider of dynamic learning tools, is excited to announce a new partnership with Special Olympics USA, the national team assembled every 2 years to compete at Special Olympics World Games. Special Olympics USA will use the Learn to Win platform in an effort to improve their coaching instruction and competition preparation leading up to the Special Olympics World Winter Games Kazan 2022 scheduled for January 22-28 in Russia.
With the Learn to Win platform, coaches will create personalized lessons and quizzes that will educate and prepare their athletes and Unified partners for international competition. Administrators can also provide communication and updates to athletes preparing to travel to the World Winter Games. Using Learn to Win’s technology, members of the Special Olympics USA delegation, who are spread out across the country, will be able to communicate effectively despite having few, if any, chances to train together in-person.
“Partnering with Learn to Win will be integral to the success of the athletes, Unified partners, coaches, and staff who will represent the United States at Special Olympics World Winter Games Kazan 2022,” said Gary Cimaglia, Special Olympics USA Head of Delegation. “Now more than ever, we need the technology this platform provides to give our delegation the ability to train and communicate virtually leading up to an experience of a lifetime.”
The partnership between the two organizations demonstrates a shared commitment to providing individuals with the tools to succeed in life. Special Olympics uses the transformative power of sport as a means for people with intellectual disabilities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, build friendships, often through a unified approach bringing together people with and without intellectual disabilities. Learn to Win is based on effective pedagogy, clear communication, and efficient learning to help their customers thrive in their areas.
“We’re so excited to partner with the Special Olympics USA national team and bring the highest level of preparation to their athletes,” said Learn to Win co-founder Sasha Seymore. “We love the mission of Special Olympics, and are thankful that we can play a small role helping them foster acceptance and inclusion of all people through sports.”
Learn to Win will provide a communication platform to 118 athletes, 33 coaches, and 22 staff members as they prepare for the 2022 World Winter Games. Using this technology, the Special Olympics USA national team will be able to communicate effectively leading up to the Winter Games, with coaches virtually sharing material and coaching tips with their athletes. Learn to Win’s cutting-edge brain science paired with gamification will deliver teams and coaches with a dynamic learning tool to help them succeed.
Special Olympics USA joins several Division I NCAA programs, professional sports teams, and the U.S. military, who have also partnered with Learn to Win. These prestigious programs use Learn to Win’s cutting-edge brain science software to improve their training instruction and game day preparation.
